Apple’s slightly cheaper iPhone XR offers most of the features of the iPhone XS. It has better battery life too, but has a worse camera, a slightly larger, but worse screen and is made of aluminium and glass, instead of stainless steel, losing its luxurious feel and the knowledge that it’s the best Apple can make.
Non-contact 3D scanning involves collecting radiation originating from the target object and can employ active or passive techniques:
Once some familiarity is gained with using the software, the whole process is quite fun. The software indicates the rendering of the space by apparently covering it in a white foam. The end result is that the entire scanned area looks like it is covered in shaving cream or marshmallow.
Artist, architect, glass 3D printer and Stratasys partner Neri Oxman leads the lab’s Mediated Matter Group. And?Neil Gershenfeld, Director of the lab’s Center for Bits and Atoms, founded Fab Labs. The Tangible Media Group is another example of the lab’s often blue-sky expertise. Led by?Professor Hiroshi Ishii, MIT?Jerome B. Wiesner Professor of Media Arts and Sciences, Tangible Media seeks to “seamlessly couple the dual world?of bits and atoms by giving dynamic physical form to digital information and computation.” In other words, the lab seeks to make digital data physically interactive.

As the X-axis carriage starts to travel across the build platform, the print heads begin selectively jetting hundreds of tiny resin droplets. Following the print heads are the UV light sources, which immediately cure the sprayed resin. After an entire layer is completed, the build platform drops one layer in height and the process is repeated until the part is complete.
17/1/19:?We’re still more than a month away from Samsung’s Unpacked event, but the leaky Galaxy S10+ has already been pictured in the wild. The image (below), shared on Reddit, confirms that this S10 model will feature a dual selfie camera, which will be tucked into an elongated punch-hole on the upper right corner of the display.?
“Designing and fabricating electric machines utilizing traditional electric machine methods is not simple. This is especially true when there is not a current role in AFRL to be a component supplier nor a specific project need which AFRL fills,” state the authors. “3D printing enables a quick and low-cost tool for AFRL to affordably build and assemble a motor. The project pioneers a new area for AFRL, not because AFRL will build the machines, but more to create technical acumen and readiness for evaluating and influencing external partners and their concepts.”
Material extrusion, powder bonding and wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAC) are the primary technologies used in the construction industry. Material extrusion is also known as concrete printing, contour crafting, and deposition modeling. The process differs from the long-established sprayed-concrete method, in that it applies the material precisely and takes a layer-by-layer approach. WAAC method involves the use of an electric arc to melt wire and a robotic welder or drip feeder to construct a metal object drop by drop. The pro-cess has gained extensive publicity through MX3D’s bridge project in Amsterdam. As of now, 3D printing technology is limited a few applications such as buildings, bridges, printed molds, building components, architectural models, and interior designs.
Additive manufacturing now defines a large branch of industrial (and hobby) systems for creating new parts and products. More commonly referred to as 3D printing, most systems in this category are characterized by their layer-by-layer method of building a part.
Global markets are strongly driven by digitalization and interconnectivity, as they encounter the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). Emerging technologies such as cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and analytics are playing multiplier roles in expanding the business portfolio of the 3D industry, bringing in significant attention and investments from mainstream Information Technology (IT) and engineering markets, and encouraging a host of startup entrepreneurs.Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are becoming ubiquitous playing a key role from oil and gas exploration to urban planning to humanitarian applications. Significant developments in 3D data acquisition techniques, visualization, image-processing, and computing power have facilitated the creation of 3D geographic information around the world and the ability to handle and work with 3D data. The 3D data can be used across applications, such as urban planning, inspection and measurement, reconstruction, mapping and navigation, visualization, and virtualization.
